NYS Building & Construction Trades Council Endorses Letitia “Tish” James for Attorney General

NEW YORK -- Democratic Attorney General nominee Letitia “Tish” James today announced the New York State Building and Construction Trades Council, which represents more than 200,000 construction workers, endorsed her campaign for Attorney General.

“Tish James understands the value of collective action and has stood with working men and women throughout her distinguished career in public service. We are confident she will work tirelessly to protect the rights of workers as New York’s next Attorney General,” said Jim Cahill, President of the NYS Building and Construction Trades Council.

“Organized labor built New York -- and every day the men and women of the New York State Building and Construction Trades Council continue to uplift our city and state. I will always fight to protect workers, and will always stand shoulder to shoulder with our brothers and sisters in labor. From Staten Island to Syracuse, New York is a union town -- and it is an honor to earn this endorsement today,” said Democratic Attorney General nominee Letitia “Tish” James.

During the primary, unions representing over 2.5 million New Yorkers endorsedTish’s campaign.
