The Labor Candidate: Letitia “Tish” James Endorsed by Unions Representing More Than 2.5 Million New Yorkers

NEW YORK -- As New Yorkers across the Empire State celebrate Labor Day, New York State Attorney General candidate Letitia “Tish” James today announced that her campaign had earned the endorsement of unions representing more than 2.5 million New Yorkers.

Organized labor groups supporting Tish James range from umbrella organizations like the New York State AFL-CIO, which includes unions representing 2.5 million members, to locals like the Council of School Supervisors and Administrators (CSA) Local 1, which has 6,000 members in New York City.

“From Astoria to Albany, from Rochester to Riverdale, and from Bethpage to Buffalo, New York is a union town. Our brothers and sisters in organized labor built our state. They’ve had our backs -- and I’m proud that throughout my career, I’ve been able to have their backs. As Attorney General, I will always fight for working families. I’ll champion safe working conditions, I’ll take action against wage theft, and I’ll never back down. It’s an honor to earn these endorsements,” said Attorney General Candidate Letitia “Tish” James.
